Michael Jueds

  Michael Jueds   Director of Property Operations, Hilton Orlando       Michael Jueds currently serves as the director of property operations for the 1417 room Hilton Orlando, where he’s responsible for sustainable operation of the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection, while also managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation of the hotel.  Since joining the Hilton Orlando, he has successfully bolstered an organics diversion program and implemented several key ancillary environmentally friendly initiatives.  With over 17 years in the hospitality industry, Jueds also provides support to multiple properties as an engineering regional corporate support specialist with a portfolio of 17 hotels consisting of over 10k rooms and 11M+ square feet.     Prior to joining Hilton Orlando, Jueds served most recently, as the director of engineering for the 1641 room Peabody Orlando.  He has also served as director of property operations at the 1290 room Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego, CA where he directed onsite operations for the hotel since prior to its opening in 2008.  In this role, he successfully structured and implemented the first hotel-based food recycling program in San Diego which was recognized with an environmental partnership award from the City of San Diego.  Additionally he integrated a guestroom amenity and linen diversion/donation program which benefitted local shelters and orphanages.  In addition to his directorial role at the hotel, Jueds served as an engineering operational support specialist for 21 Hilton Hotel properties in three states.      A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Jueds earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Facilities Management.  He is a current member of the International Facilities Management Association and the Association for Facilities Engineering and is a LEED Accredited Professional and an IFMA Certified Facility Manager.
